We originally founded Cycling Armenia in 2012 to meet the need for information on bicycle-friendly routes for foreign cyclists planning to visit Armenia. In 2016 the project was selected by Awesome Foundation Yerevan who provided a grant to rebrand and relaunch to a global audience, expanding the scope to encompass all types of cycling. All the routes and resources on the site have been contributed voluntarily by riders who have experienced Armenia from the saddle first-hand.
